Overview[]
Like the other Hunger Games, HGSS5 also casts twenty-four tributes that were randomly generated from a list of HGSS tributes. The twenty-four tributes generated were divided into pairs of two and distributed to 12 separate districts; Districts 1 through 12. It's a free-for-all deathmatch until one tribute is left standing. Rules for this series state that a tribute must acquire three separate HGSS victories in order to "retire". This prevents them from having to participate in another HGSS ever again for the rest of their life.
